Getting Biblical

First off let me state I do not believe the literal description of hell as interpreted by many people. I believe we can be in a state of “hell” emotional or otherwise and that  feels hopeless and eternal. This blog isn’t about that so I’ll save all my theories on hell for later.

Matthew 18:9

And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.

When you truly love someone they become part of you. If its true love it feels inseparable, there is no place in you that part of them doesn’t touch. You are recreated from the minute that your soul opens up to receive that other person.

Sadly people do not always make the right choices and you may find that someone else’s choices directly affect your happiness. You feel hopelessly tied to a situation because you do not want to give up a piece of you. You want to be whole.

Sometimes there is no way to reconcile the part of you that no longer is GOOD for your body or your spirit. Like Gangrene or Cancer it eats away at you and is slowly killing you.

So its like the bible says it is better to enter into that new phase of life with a part of you missing than to live in a state of spiritual and emotional hell.

You have to cut that part free to be healthy and to see the kind of change in your world that you want to see.

So I may go on with a part of me missing. I will have muscle cell memory and I will feel her there for a long time to come, but the wounds will heal and I will go forward released from the things that were holding me to an ideal.

  1. This is a wonderful post. It explains so many things. Rather not have that “eye” … and be “released” and in relative peace!! Great writing ….. keep going!!
