You don’t see me

You dance in my sunlight

you swim in my sea

you walked through my ashes,

but still don’t see me.

My name you may speak it,

my heart you don’t know,

the parts I have buried,

that I never show.

For your convenience,

I hold back the tears.

I make friends with the shadows

sleep with the fears.

I swallow the poison.

I choke on the pain.

I learned to smile

and inside cry the rain.
